I have Verizon wireless and have used this app a lot. Verizon can't tell the dinefrefce between data on phone and mobile broadband. When you start a mobile broadband connection the phone sends a message to Verizon system saying it using mobile broadband hotspot/tether. If I'm correct the entitlement_check is basically the phone asking if it needs to check for the feature and send the message to the system to record as such. Zero means false so it just records as normal mobile data. Verizon doesn't get the memo that your using the mobile hotspot app.
